Wavefunction, Inc. is pleased to announce the arrival of ODYSSEY®, a new suite of instructional chemistry software. ODYSSEY Instructor's Edition is now shipping, followed by ODYSSEY Student Edition, available April 15.

For the Instructor
ODYSSEY contains ready-to-use materials for more than 70 core chemistry topics. Molecular modeling and text content are presented in a single, interactive environment. Stunning molecular simulations of bulk matter are carried out in real time by ODYSSEY's powerful, fully integrated computational engine. With on-the-fly user control of system parameters (temperature, volume, and system composition), compelling lecture demonstrations and innovative student assignments are now within reach for every instructor.

In addition to more than 200 pages of chemistry content, ODYSSEY includes a collection of student assignable worksheets and an extensive, annotated library of molecular models (inorganic and organic molecules, gases, liquids, solids, solutions, biomolecules and more).

For the Student

ODYSSEY's graphical interface offers a window onto the molecular world, providing opportunities to interact with molecules and matter like never before. Students carry away an intuitive understanding of chemical structure and molecular motion.

ODYSSEY is designed to promote discovery-based learning in a familiar, web-like HTML environment. The software also introduces students to molecular modeling, providing an early exposure to computer-based laboratory tools which are a standard part of many college and university chemistry curricula.
