Web Page Display of Newly Authored Models with Jmol
If you are web-savvy, you can display your newly created ODYSSEY models
in a publishable web page using the Jmol viewer!
-
Download Jmol from the web (download link).
Unpack the Jmol folder to a location of your choice and give it the name "Jmol"
(note that this is not the default name).
-
Download one of the following HTML pages and save it locally at the same level as the Jmol folder
(i.e., not inside the Jmol folder, but "next" to it):
-
Directly inside of the Jmol folder, create a subfolder with the Name "My Models".
-
Inside the "My Models" subfolder, deposit .xodydata files
that you have created with ODYSSEY
and that are named "model1.xodydata", "model2.xodydata", "model3.xodydata"., etc.
Opening your local copy of the downloaded HTML page with a Java-enabled web browser of your choice should now display
your ODYSSEY models on a web page.
The page can be published and linked to from your other web pagesall you need to do is to upload to your website the HTML page plus the entire Jmol folder (including "My Models").
